Philip Hommes

Philip Hommes is a movement artist, dance-maker, and music composer originally from Two Harbors, Minnesota. His dance training began at Duluth Dance Center in Duluth, MN and continued on to the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, where he is currently in his third year as a B.F.A student in dance. Philip has had opportunities working with multiple dance artists, both local and international, including Pramila Vasudevan, Eko Supriyanto, Annie Hanauer, and Alito Allesi. His main goal in creating dance works is to facilitate discussions around social issues, specifically environmental justice, in order to emphasize the importance of community strength and collaboration in the process of equitable social change both locally and globally.
